Last weekend was beyond busy and this weekend is about the same. I need to replenish.
I want to thank all my 26 brave little “ducks” who ignored the stormy weather in order to bring Christmas cheer to the homebound. I could never express with words how much I look forward to sharing this experience each year. I am grateful beyond words.
This year Christmas caroling was miraculous. Because I am tying to keep this brief, here is a glimpse of our time together:
26 strangers, 80% chance of thunderstorms, waiting on Dan (who traveled over 2 hours to play the guitar), pouring rain, try to practice songs, stopped practice, need guitar, Dan arrives, relief, more rain, more practice, sounding better, late in getting out, rain, rain, rain stops, caroling begins, love, laughter, sprinkles of tears, laughter, delight, sunshine, awe, wonder, more singing, gratitude, more love, swaying, caroling done, filled joyful hearts, Thanksgiving Feast Celebration with 26 friends, Best Food EVER… Mark your calendars, 12/8/19, hope you can join us!
More singing angels will join me today, as we surprise both my mom, dad and all the residents at my parents new assisted living facility… My cup runneth over!
My new article in Florida Today, “Don’t Let The Grinch Steal Your Christmas,” was published last Thursday. If you would like to read it, feel free to click here. Also, please remember that once a month I am featured on WEFS-TV and that will air this afternoon at 5:30 pm. Click here to preview. Please feel free to comment and share the article with your family and friends.

It is a new week and here is what’s happening on
The Lillian McDermott Radio Show!
Monday, 12-17-18 ~ Once I heard teacher, author, and speaker, Robert Rountree, MD, say, “Hello Class!” at the Institute of Functional Medicine conference, I knew that whatever he said after that, would cause me to grow. He truly had me at “Hello!” Dr. Rountree has been providing a unique combination of traditional family medicine, nutrition, medical herbology, and mind-body therapy in Boulder, Colorado, since 1983. He also uses his skills as a Medical Detective to uncover symptoms that are caused by potential toxic overload and he will share how to reverse them.
Tuesday, 12-18-18 ~ What if there was a drug that would end mental and behavior disorders? Would you take it? But what if that “drug” was optimum nutrition? Would you change the way you eat? Author of “Nutrient Power,” William Walsh, PhD, will share about healing our biochemistry and healing our brain.
Wednesday, 12-19-18 ~ Have you had your G-BOMBS today? If you haven’t, you will want to after this show. Last month, New York Times bestselling author, Dr. Joel Fuhrman answered most of your questions. But there wasn’t enough time. Dr. Fuhrman is back to answer even more of your questions!
Thursday, 12-20-18 ~ Do you think healthy cooking is complicated and will leave you frustrated? Think again! Health and wellness coach, Karina LaMalfa, will share tasty, easy, no-oil recipes and Whole Food Plant Based recipes that will make our bodies very happy.
Friday, 12-21-18 ~ They say that time flies when you are having fun. But where has the time gone? I cannot believe this is my last live show of the year and Christmas is around the corner. So, it is time to reflect, reminisce, and recall some of my favorite moments of the year that have been the greatest Gifts and Lessons.
Saturday, 12-22-18 ~ We sometimes worry about the stranger who lurks in the dark but what about the ones we love who threaten our very core. No matter your beauty, intelligence, education, wealth, or popularity, there is a common thread that makes us all vulnerable. Domestic abuse can affect any of us. But, why do so many remain in the relationship? Leslie Morgan Steiner, author of “Crazy Love,” will share her journey from Harvard to having a gun pointed at her head by the man she thought was her soulmate, and what life can be like after abuse. 11/9/18
