This is probably the busiest weekend of my year… EVER!!!
Our son Blake and his beautiful new bride Misti finally celebrated their marriage with a fun reception. What a wonderfully sweet celebration.
From this union, our family is bigger… We have inherited a beautiful daughter-in-love, twin grandsons, Darren & Rez, and a granddaughter, Astrid. We are overjoyed!
There was no time to rest right after that event. Today is the day we prepare our vocal cords and bring Christmas cheer. There are many people who can no longer leave their homes to attend church service. As a result, they do not get to hear the beautiful Christmas songs. Well, that is where we come in as we bring live music to their homes.
We will sing high and low, laugh a lot, cry a bit, and afterwards, we will share a thanksgiving feast. I am so grateful to everyone who will be joining us… I know it will be an amazing day for all of us!
I have been organizing Christmas caroling to the homebound since I was 19 years old. For me, this event kicks off the true reason for the season. My “love bucket” is overflowing. I hope that you are creating experiences that overflow your love bucket as well.
I am still excited about all last week’s shows… Such great inspirational people who touched my life. I hope you enjoyed them as well. If you missed listening to any of last week’s shows, there are two ways you can still listen. They are updated daily to our website (Click Here to listen) and you can go YouTube to Apple Podcasts (for iPhones), Google Play Music (for Android phones) or iHeartRadio, search for “Lillian McDermott,” and listen to the podcasted shows, commercial free, at your leisure (Click Here to learn more). Let’s continue to Grow Together!

Wednesday, 12-13-17 ~ It’s that time again when we get to dissect my newest Florida Today article! As always, joining me is one of my favorite editors and the creator of “Daddy Duty,” Tim Walters. This month’s article is about thinking that our Creator is like Santa Claus! You can find the article online starting on Tuesday, December 12th, and in the Florida Today newspaper on Thursday, December 14th. Please feel free to share the article on your social media with family and friends.
Thursday, 12-14-17 ~ Have you ever been addicted to something and wanted to stop? Anslyn Ryan became addicted to anything that would help her “check out.” She attempted to rehabilitate herself, only to later return to her habits. The cycle of rehabilitation and relapse left her feeling like a failure. After much trial and error, she discovered ibogaine. She was able to figure out the root cause of her addiction and what her body needed to thrive. On this Thriving Thursday, Anslyn will share how she finally found herself and her passion.
Friday, 12-15-17 ~ You can always count on the holiday season to place you in moments that are uncomfortable, with people who may not be among your favorites. Whenever this happens just know we are being raised to a higher place of love and gratitude. Who else to lead this discussion but our very own “Spiritual Guru,” JP Sears? JP will help us discover different ways we can love the unlovable.
Saturday, 12-16-17 ~ As a welcome gift for expanding to Jacksonville, I was rear-ended. Since June 8th, I have been working towards healing four herniations and a spinal compression. Attorney Heath Brockwell of The Brockwell Firm is part of “Lilly’s Legal Dream Team.” He has been coaching me along the way. Heath and I will discuss how personal injury protection (PIP) may not protect us after all.
