Happy Sunday!
Today we celebrate fatherhood… A very important and key role in our families. Our fathers work hard and love without expectation.
For a little girl, a father will be the first man they will love and kiss. For a little boy, a father becomes a “how to” manual.
So today, pamper these special men and spoil them rotten… Make them feel like kings and let them know how grateful you are for their love, loyalty and laughter! If your father is not walking on this earth, send him love and gratitude.
I am so grateful for all the special fathers in my life. Especially, Tom, Mel, Eric, Bryan, my Dad and the father of my children, my husband Robert!
Happy Father’s Day!
I am still excited about all of last week’s shows… Such great inspirational people who touched my life. I hope you enjoyed them as well. It is a new week and here is what’s happening on
The Lillian McDermott Radio Show!
Monday, 6-20-16 – 12 noon to 1 pm ~ Ximena Juarez was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. She moved to the United States in 2004 when she was 16 years old. After high school, she decided to join the US Navy. During her four years of service, she learned to follow her dreams. Now, as a business owner, she believes the military was her biggest teacher and she will share her lessons with us.
Tuesday, 6-21-16 – 12 noon to 1 pm ~ For most of us, watching a sporting event is exciting. But did you know that everything you wanted to know about life and were afraid to ask can be learned by experiencing sports? Sportswriter and author of Little Victories, Jason Gay, will share his comic journey through family and fatherhood, sickness and health, heartbreak and joy.
Wednesday, 6-22-16 – 12 noon to 1 pm ~ The quickest way to spread disease is through dirty hands. We are fortunate to have the luxury of soap. For many third world countries, soap is not available. When I heard about Health 2 Humanity and how they are teaching people in remote locations how to make soap, I wanted to learn more. The CEO, John Cefalu, and Cori Maass will share how they are making a difference while creating sustainable vocational programs.
Thursday, 6-23-16 – 12 noon to 1 pm ~ Do you believe that if you “create a last will and testament” it will jinx you? Really?! Let’s face it, we are all going to die someday and having a will can reduce the stress felt during the loss of a loved one. I asked probate judge, Lisa Wexler, to share how a will, will set us free!
Friday, 6-24-16 – 12 noon to 1 pm ~ The last time Julie Mickler and Nora Bradbury- Haehl were on the show, I made a commitment to worship at a Mosque with our Islamic brothers and sisters. Manar Elkhaldi welcomed us to the Islamic tradition and the experience was so wonderful, we wanted to share it. It is time to break down the walls of religion and see that we are all one!
It is a busy week and I hope you will set your reminder to meet me on the air… Let’s all listen & learn together!
So talk to me, listen and we will all learn together…
