Happy Sunday from beautiful California!

What a wonderful week full of surprise and adventures… I think I have experienced most emotions known to man. 😉 I am filled!

The adventure started in Mystic, CT where our beautiful niece, Nicole, married her best friend Michael Dupre. Robert and I had a blast exploring New London and Mystic and the wedding was beautiful. It was great to start my adventure with Robert and it was hard leaving him behind.

Next was my 15 hour journey to Lake Tahoe, CA via Washington, DC, Chicago and Reno. I missed my shuttle to Lake Tahoe. But once I met with my friend Sheryl Lynn and her life partner Mike, the 15 hours were quickly forgotten. Sheryl and I hiked, kayaked, shopped and cooked together. I even gambled, or shall I say, “lost” $40.00. That is when Mike came to the rescue and won all my money back! Every minute was filled with joy, laughter and childlike wonderment. Again, it was difficult to leave my friends behind but it was time for my next adventure.

The flight from Reno to LAX was great but what followed was Disney’s “Mr. Toads Wild Ride.” Up until now, I had been driven everywhere but I discovered what driving in California was all about. 20 miles normally takes about 30 minutes but not in LA, it takes 1 hour and 15 minutes. Needless to say, I kissed the ground once I arrived at the hotel!

The next day was about reconnecting and meeting people! What a treat to reconnect with Heather Dane and her husband Joel. Also, it was finally time to meet with my dear Marc Anthony Nicolas! Being part of the audience on “The Talk” was such a unique experience and will forever be a special time in my life. So grateful to Marc for giving Heather and I such great VIP treatment. We were front row, center and found new appreciation for how difficult putting together a 1 hour TV show can be. (They make it look so easy.)  I will always remember the feelings of sheer giddiness Heather, Marc and I experienced!

Finally, the true reason my adventure began… My niece, Natalie and David Rose honored their love by getting married. I was so grateful to pick up the love of my life at LAX to finish this adventure and join all the wedding festivities!

What an honor to witness sweet Natalie’s glowing smile, my sister Asia and my brother-in-law Tom, along with their children, welcome David and the Rose family. The emotions were palpable and My Cup Runneth Over!

Now, it is time to return to Florida and focus on my everyday life. One thing I will take with me, is that no matter where I am, no matter what I do, no matter who I am with… Life is an Adventure! Make each day an adventure because Life Loves us!
