Swiss psychiatrist, Carl Jung, MD, said, “Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.” This quote and this awareness have allowed me to reflect on who I am and what is at the root of my belief or frustration. Many times, in social media I read accusations of others, when in fact the accusers are doing the same thing but have a different perspective. Why is it that we can see the flaws in others, but not ourselves? I will share how we can use Dr. Jung’s awareness as a mirror to see ourselves.
