Happy Sunday!

After last week’s “Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride” kind of weekend with our three phenomenal grandchildren, my body is begging me for some rest.

But before I focus on anything else, I want to thank God for blessing me with my baby girl, Brittney Loren. She was placed into my arms 34 years ago today and from that moment, my life would never be the same. Brittney has blessed us with our son-in-love, Bryan, and their children Jacob and Claire. Brittney’s strength, intellect, and beauty continue to amaze me. I am so proud of the woman she continues to become.

My baby girl, pregnant with her baby girl!

My favorite yougest daughter, Brittney!

These are their two angels, Jacob and Claire!

I am amazed at how 34 years can go by so fast. It seems like it was only yesterday that I held her in my arms.

As I glance at all the moments in my life that truly matter, I feel a bit of resistance. I want to make time slow down or stop long enough to just breathe in the beauty, bottle the beauty into my heart, and upload every aspect it into my brain.

Intellectually, I know I cannot change my perception of how fast time is going. But I do have control of how I savor each moment, and of how I slow myself down. Years, months, weeks, days, and hours can only slow down if I slow down.

I realize that when I slow down, I take time for me. I take time to embrace the child within me and this child wants to play!

How do you slow down time? Will you take time to reconnect with your inner child? Will you take the time to reminisce, replenish, and rejoice? Do it!

I hope you do… You deserve it!
