All I can say is, “Wow, it is Labor Day Weekend!” Oh wait, it is also September! Three more months to Christmas… WUH??? Where has the summer gone?
As you might remember (if you don’t remember or you didn’t get a chance to read my last blog), I finally moved back to Brevard County! I am still up to my elbows in boxes. 😉
The vacation week we had planned 6 months prior, turned out to be our “move in” week. I was not expecting that but it was great to have the time off while undertaking our monumental move.
I am still feeling like I need a real vacation. Coincidentally enough, I booked another vacation for Labor Day week. We will use this time to re-energize, reconnect and just have a bit of fun. So, I will keep my blog short.
I hope you enjoy listening to these previously aired shows as I recharge my battery.
I am still excited about all of last week’s shows… Such great inspirational people who touched my life. I hope you enjoyed them as well. If you missed listening to any of last week’s shows, there are two ways you can still listen. They are updated daily to our website (Click Here to listen) and you can go to iTunes (for iPhones) or Google Play Music (for Android phones), search for “Lillian McDermott,” and listen to the shows, commercial free, at your leisure (Click Here to learn more). Let’s continue to Grow Together!
It is a new week and here is what’s happening on
The Lillian McDermott Radio Show!
Monday, 9-5-16 – 12 Noon ~ To borrow from the Book of Ecclesiastes, Chapter 3: “There is a time to be born and a time to die. ~ There is a time to mourn and a time to dance.” Terrorism does not respect innocent lives. Unfortunately, what happened at the Orlando Pulse Nightclub has become an epidemic. I have asked my favorite psychotherapist, Dr. David Baker Hargrove, to share how we can heal after tragedy. (Aired 7-18-19)
Tuesday, 9-6-16 – 12 Noon ~ Have you ever made a choice that ended up changing your life? Did that choice get you locked up in jail? I have known my special guest, Jon, since he was 16 and I have seen how the choice he made when he was young, changed his life. Now, as a responsible 25-year-old man, he shares his gifts and lessons. He is truly an inspiration! (Aired 7-26-16)
Wednesday, 9-7-16 – 12 Noon ~ Most people, when they travel from Cuba to Key West, take an airplane or a boat. Not Diana Nyad! Not only is she the only human to make this world record setting 111 mile swim, but she attempted it a total of 5 times. She was 65 years young when she finally made her dream come true. Diana will share her journey with us. She will also share how to always “Find A Way,” which is the title of her book. (Aired 7-22-16)
Thursday, 9-8-16 – 12 Noon ~ Have you ever been told you are clinically depressed? Well, perhaps what you were feeling was deep sadness. Those feelings can be normal and need to be explored. I am grateful that internationally acclaimed spiritual author and lecturer, Marianne Williamson, has done it again… Her latest book “Tears to Triumph” focuses on how to triumph over depression. She will share her spiritual journey from suffering to enlightenment. This interview will be my dream come true! (Aired 7-12-16)
Friday, 9-9-16 – 12 Noon ~ Can you feel the love tonight? So let me ask… What makes you feel loved? Do you know your love language? Dr. Gary Chapman, author of The 5 Love Languages, speaker, and counselor, will share how we can learn to give the love others need and how we can receive the love we want. I know we are going to love Gary! (Aired 7-21-16)
It is a busy week and I hope you will set your reminder to meet me on the air… Let’s all listen & learn together!
