Happy Sunday & Merry Christmas!
I am officially on vacation and my plan is to replenish my spirit!
What a Holy time for many of us… The time when we celebrate the eve of something beyond special!
Today is Christmas Eve and a time to celebrate with my children, grandchildren, parents, uncles, aunts, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and our next generation’s children.
Here is a small glimpse into a Medina gathering… Imagine everyone talking, eating, drinking, and laughing at the same time. Multiply the volume by 10 and that is what I will experience… Joy!
Then, on Christmas Day, our children and grandchildren come to our home and the fun begins all over again!
For me, this week will be all about spending time with those I love, catching up with my spirit, and finding all sorts of adventures. I will savor each moment!
As many of you know, music is very dear to my heart. And even though Christmas begins on December 25th, please remember to celebrate until January 6th! I will share my favorite “stay in the mood” Christmas songs to help us celebrate The 12 Days of Christmas…
May love and laughter bring warmth to every cell in your body!
I am still excited about all last week’s shows… Such great inspirational people who touched my life. I hope you enjoyed them as well. If you missed listening to any of last week’s shows, there are two ways you can still listen. They are updated daily to our website (Click Here to listen) and you can go YouTube to Apple Podcasts, Google Play Music, Spotify, or iHeartRadio, search for “Lillian McDermott,” and listen to the podcasted shows, commercial free, at your leisure (Click Here to learn more). Monday, 12-25-17 ~ Are you still paying for last year’s holiday gifts? Has the holiday season become too commercialized for you? Well it is time to step back and discover the true reason for the season. Author and speaker, Jill Savage, will share how we can focus on holiday gift giving that has nothing to do with red and green wrapping paper. (Aired 12-4-17)
Tuesday, 12-26-17 ~ Medical journalist, Donna Jackson Nakazawa’s father died in a hospital from an autoimmune condition. Many years later, she found herself in the same hospital, with the same autoimmune condition. This caused her to search deep within herself and research the effects of childhood trauma on health. Wednesday, 12-27-17 ~ Does the food you eat cause you to feel bloated, congested, and even give you a rash? Thursday, 12-28-17 ~ You can always count on the holiday season to place you in moments that are uncomfortable, with people who may not be your favorite. Whenever this happens, just know we are being raised to a higher place of love and gratitude. Who else to lead this conversation than the executive director of A Network For Grateful Living, Kristi Nelson! Kristi has a way of speaking right to the heart and she will empower us to be our higher selves. (Aired 11-16-17)
Friday, 12-29-17 ~ Can you imagine being told that if you don’t do chemotherapy you will die? Then, while in hospice getting ready to transition, suddenly you realize, it is not your time to go. It is however your time to forgive, acknowledge a higher power, receive the nutrients your body needs, get plenty of sunlight and water, and more… Lorraine Day, M.D., lived this scenario and, 24 year later, she is back to share her journey after hospice (and cancer) and how she healed her body naturally and without toxicity. (Aired 10-30-17)
Saturday, 12-30-17 ~ We want to protect our minds and remember as much as possible, for as long as possible. But what can we do to make sure we protect our cognitive function? Neurologists, researchers, and authors of “The Alzheimer’s Solution,” Drs. Dean Sherzai, M.D., and Ayesha Sherzai, M.D., will share tips from sleep to nutrition that are critical in protecting our minds and our cognitive function. I will be taking lots of notes!
