Happy Sunday!

Today is met with conflicting feelings…  Although life is easier without a rambunctious 2 ½ year old taking over our home, later today I will be shedding tears as I wave Jacob goodbye after being with us this entire week.

Last week required a lot of planning ahead. I gave up my free time, gym visits, embraced patience, sharpened my negotiation skills, mastered creativity, and learned how to run slower so Jake could beat me. But, I would do this over and over again to be able to spend this kind of special time with Jake and all our grandchildren.

I pray, as they get older, that they will continue to spend this kind of extra special time with us. They say the best parents get promoted to grandparents… I am honored to be the MeMe to our grandchildren.

I am still excited about all last week’s shows… Such great inspirational people who touched my life. I hope you enjoyed them as well. If you missed listening to any of last week’s shows, there are two ways you can still listen. They are updated daily to our website  (Click Here to listen) and you can go YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Google Play MusicSpotify, Stitcher, Tunein or iHeartRadio. Search for “Lillian McDermott,” and listen to the podcasted shows, commercial free, at your leisure (Click Here to learn more). Let’s continue to Grow Together!

It is a new week and here is what’s happening on

The Lillian McDermott Radio Show!

Monday, 1-28-19 ~ We have learned from all the teachers on The Lillian McDermott Radio Show to be aware of what we put on our skin. Rebecca Black, co-founder of Keep Me Safe Organics, has made it her mission to not only create toxin free beauty products but to develop makeup that will make us feel beautiful. Rebecca will share why Keep Me Safe Organics is changing a million lives, one person at a time. By the way…  To get 10% off your purchase, go to Keep Me Safe Organicsenter code “Lilly10” and SAVE!  (Aired 9-27-18)

Tuesday, 1-29-19 ~ How noisy is your life? Where do you go when you need a little quiet time? Famed Norwegian explorer and author of “Silence, In the Age of Noise,” Erling Kagge, has achieved great things. He is the first person to have completed the Three Poles Challenge on foot (North Pole, South Pole, and the summit of Mount Everest). He is the first person to reach the South Pole alone. Erling will share how creating and exploring silence within us can open the door to wonder and gratitude.

Wednesday, 1-30-19 ~ Have you ever laughed so hard that you fell off your chair? That is what happens any time Grammy nominated comedienne, Lisa Lampanelli, goes on stage. She reminds me of a female version of Don Rickles. For over 30 years, Lisa has not only been lovingly insulting her audience, but herself as well.  About 6 years ago, with the help of bariatric surgery, Lisa released over 100 pounds. Now, in her honest and open approach to comedy, she uses her experience to make her audience laugh while telling the story of her lifelong food and body-image issues. Lisa will share her journey from “The Queen of Mean,” to lean and inspirational.

Thursday, 1-31-19 ~ If you have been diagnosed with diabetes you might be able to relate with being told you will always be on diabetic medication. Robby Barbaro worked at Forks Over Knives for 6 years before venturing off on his own. Robby has type 1 diabetes. He will share how his personal journey is now the passion which helped him co-found “Mastering Diabetes.” It provides online education, online coaching, and physical retreats for diabetics. They teach people living with all forms of diabetes how to adopt a low-fat, plant-based, whole-food diet.  It is time to take our health back!

Friday, 2-1-19 ~ What if there was a drug that would end mental and behavior disorders? Would you take it? But what if that “drug” was optimum nutrition? Would you change the way you eat? Author of “Nutrient Power,William Walsh, PhD, will share about healing our biochemistry and healing our brain. (Aired 12-18-18)

Saturday, 2-2-19 ~ None of us really know what happens when a person dies. But have you ever contemplated eternity? Are our loved ones around us? Where do they go when they leave their physical body? From childhood, international bestselling author and psychic medium, John Edwards, has had the honor of interpreting for those who have crossed over. John will join us to share his journey and what he has learned from those who have crossed over. He will also give away tickets to his upcoming live shows in Jacksonville (2/3/19) and in Melbourne (2/5/19) FL.
