Happy Sunday!
The year is off to a great start… Already, I have had many growth opportunities and it’s only the 3rd week of the year. 😉
Time continues to move forward and the 2nd Thursday of the month was last week! This only means that my first article for 2018 was already published in the Florida Today. This month my article is titled, “A New Year’s Game of “Truth or Dare.” I hope you like it… Feel free to share the link with your friends and family. I would also love to receive your feedback.
I am still excited about all last week’s shows… Such great inspirational people who touched my life. I hope you enjoyed them as well. If you missed listening to any of last week’s shows, there are two ways you can still listen. They are updated daily to our website (Click Here to listen) and you can go YouTube to Apple Podcasts, Google Play Music, Spotify, or iHeartRadio, search for “Lillian McDermott,” and listen to the podcasted shows, commercial free, at your leisure (Click Here to learn more). Let’s continue to Grow Together!
It is a new week and here is what’s happening on
The Lillian McDermott Radio Show!
Monday, 1-15-18 ~ Gary Taubes is an investigative science journalist who has made us aware of our relationship with sugar. In his book, “The Case Against Sugar,” he points out our obsession with it. This obsession has us calling the people we love sweetie, honey or sugar… We celebrate with cakes. Our holidays have more to do with eating sugar than the holiday itself. Gary will help us explore our love affair with the same substance that is making us fat and sick.
Tuesday, 1-16-18 ~ There comes a time in everyone’s life when our belief system and values are tested. Being tested can lead to growth opportunities and blessings. But, at that moment, one can feel distracted and detached from self or others. Tim Ray, CEO of Unified Intention, believes that there is strength in numbers and we should all have a safe place where we can turn to during our daily struggles. Tim will share his vision, mission, and tips on how to stay positive and focused.
Wednesday, 1-17-18 ~ Have you had your G-BOMBS today? Greens, Beans, Onions, Mushrooms, Berries and Seeds (Nuts)… Dr. Joel Fuhrman hears all sorts of misinformation that people believe are facts. One of the myths about nutrition is that you need to eat a ton of meat to build muscle and get protein. Dr. Fuhrman will discuss the benefits for all, including athletes, when we embrace a nutritarian lifestyle.
Thursday, 1-18-18 ~ Are you at risk for cardiovascular disease? If not, congratulations… Just realize that not everyone truly knows if they are at risk or not. If you are at risk, then listen up. You might be choosing unintentional suicide! Are you or someone you know just a double bacon cheeseburger away from a heart attack? Here is the deal… Cardiac disease needs never exist. Now is the time for a “Lifestyle Intervention” with Healthy Heart Doc Cardiologist, Dr. Columbus Batiste! Dr. Batiste will teach us what we need to do to prevent or reverse cardiovascular disease.
Friday, 1-19-18 ~ Orthopedic trauma surgeon, Lorraine Day, MD, was days away from dying from cancer when she made a change that saved her life. That was 23 years ago. Fortunately for us, we can benefit from 23 years of her “new truths,” research, and wisdom. She is back but this time she will be teaching us how to prevent and reverse osteoporosis. She will also explain why drugs do not cure or even help this problem.
Saturday, 1-20-18 ~ If it’s the 3rd Saturday of the month, then we will focus on The Law with Lilly’s Legal Dream Team! On this day, we will be discussing Family Law… Are you or someone you know contemplating divorce or separation? Are you worried about your finances, child support or alimony? Well, Family Law attorney Connie Byrd, of Byrd & Byrd Attorneys at Law, is back to answer these concerns and more.
It is a busy week and I hope you will set your reminder to meet me on the air… Let’s all listen & learn together!
So let’s discuss, listen and we will all learn together…
