Happy Sunday!

What happens when you get GoDaddy to upgrade your website to their new and improved server?  They apparently break your website!

We have been working diligently to salvage 5 years’ worth of radio show audio files and we are looking forward to a miracle.  We are also waiting to see how GoDaddy will resolve this issue.  For now, the only files you can listen to are the podcasts on iTunes & Google Play Music.  Actually, anything prior to podcasting, from WhenYouNeedaFriend cannot be accessed.  Gulp!

This could potentially be a disaster but I choose to remain positive, as I know that all things are perfect and work out for everyone’s good.  Which reminds me of a Chinese Proverb that goes something like this…

A farmer and his son had a beloved stallion who helped the family earn a living. One day, the horse ran away and their neighbors exclaimed, “Your horse ran away, what terrible luck!” The farmer replied, “Maybe so, maybe not. We’ll see.”

A few days later, the horse returned home, leading a few wild mares back to the farm as well. The neighbors shouted out, “Your horse has returned, and brought several horses home with him. What great luck!” The farmer replied, “Maybe so, maybe not. We’ll see.”

Later that week, the farmer’s son was trying to break one of the mares and she threw him to the ground, breaking his leg. The villagers cried, “Your son broke his leg, what terrible luck!” The farmer replied, “Maybe so, maybe not. We’ll see.”

A few weeks later, soldiers from the national army marched through town, recruiting all the able-bodied boys for the army. They did not take the farmer’s son, still recovering from his injury. Friends shouted, “Your boy is spared, what tremendous luck!” To which the farmer replied, “Maybe so, maybe not. We’ll see.”

The moral of the story and what I needed today, is yet another reminder to “Trust the Process.”  Everything is an illusion of what we believe we see.  We all have moments in life that seem overwhelming but it is during these moments we are evolving.  Embrace each uncomfortable moment as a reminder that we are being called to growth.  That growth will lead to wisdom of “lessons learned” and invaluable gifts and lessons!   So…  We’ll See what happens with my website!  I promise to keep you posted.

I am still excited about all of last week’s shows…  Such great inspirational people who touched my life. I hope you enjoyed them as well.  If you missed listening to any of last week’s shows, there are two ways you can still listen. They are updated daily to our website (Click Here to listen) and you can go to iTunes (for iPhones) or Google Play Music (for Android phones), search for “Lillian McDermott,” and listen to the shows, commercial free, at your leisure (Click Here to learn more). Let’s continue to Grow Together!

It is a new week and here is what’s happening on

Monday, 9-26-16 – 12 Noon ~  We raise our children to be independent. They grow up so fast and then they leave our home… It is our turn to benefit from the fruit of our hard labor and become “Empty Nesters!” There are times when this progression shifts and for different reasons, our children are not able to raise their own children. Thank goodness for organizations like Grandparents Raising Grandchildren. Mary Sterling and Lillian Hobson will share how this support group is helping many cope with these demands.

Tuesday, 9-27-16 – 12 NoonAnthony Youn, MD, FACS is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Award-Winning Author, and Anti-Aging Expert. Dr. Youn is considered one of the nation’s best-known experts in looking younger with or without surgery.  His new bestselling book, The Age Fix, teaches us how we can look 10 years younger without plastic surgery.  I will be taking lots of notes! (Aired 4-27-16)

Wednesday, 9-28-16 – 12 Noon ~ Health Coach & 21st Century Medicine Woman, Heather Dane, was a former high-powered corporate executive who suffered massive burnout.  Heather took a radical career leap after spending many years investigating the cause of her myriad health problems.  Now, she helps thousands who have given up on ever feeling normal.  Heather is back to discuss low energy, adrenal fatigue, and other misdiagnosed health issues.

Thursday, 9-29-16 – 12 Noon ~ Thyroid disorders are among the most common medical conditions. However, because their symptoms often appear gradually, the condition is often misdiagnosed. Internationally renowned health coach and author of “Happy Healthy Thyroid,” Andrea Beaman, will share essential steps to healing naturally.

Friday, 9-30-16 – 12 Noon ~ Julie Mickler, Nora Bradbury- Haehl and I are committed to worship with other religious denominations.  This month we will be highlighting the Sikh faith.  Navtej “Nav” Khalsa, of the Sikh Society of Central Florida, welcomed us and our experience was so wonderful that we wanted to share it.  It is time to break down the walls of religion and see that we are all one!

It is a busy week and I hope you will set your reminder to meet me on the air…  Let’s all listen & learn together!
