Happy Sunday!

A couple of weeks ago I shared that life was sending me a message the size of a 2 by 4 across the face telling me I needed to slow down. Well, this week I learned that because of my car accident, I have 4 herniated disks in my neck and a compressed spinal cord. Wow!

I am well… I have been told by my medical providers that most people would have been in excruciating pain and rushed to surgery. But, because I eat a primarily whole-food plant based diet, my body has the nutrients it needs to absorb the pain better and heal faster.

Although I’m at the beginning of my healing journey, I am optimistic to be able to heal my body naturally and without toxicity. I ask for your prayers and thoughts of total restoration.  <3

Monday, 6-26-17 ~ Now that I am broadcasting live from Jacksonville and living in Brevard County, I want to make sure that I keep both areas beautiful. The organizations Keep Jacksonville Beautiful and Keep Brevard Beautiful are doing everything they can to protect our environment. So, how can we get involved? They will share what we can do to help.

 

Tuesday, 6-27-17 ~ Many married couples go through the trials and tribulations that can leave their relationship feeling dull and disillusioned… How can we gain the spark back?  Fortunately, we have two organizations that will give us great hope.  World Wide Marriage Encounter and Retrouvaille are helping couples renew that spark and restore their commitment to the commitment of marriage!

 

Wednesday, 6-28-17 ~ Dr. Amanda McKinney is an OB/GYN with a passion for Lifestyle Medicine. She has spent the last seven years studying the medical science of nutrition and how lifestyle choices affect our health, the economy, and the environment. Dr. McKinney will teach us how lifestyle choices will improve brain function for our children and improve our health, including our reproductive system.

 

Thursday, 6-29-17 ~ Dr. Columbus Batiste has performed over 2000 coronary interventions and hundreds of pacemaker implantations. Although successful, he noticed that he was doing nothing more than moving patients through a revolving turnstile that leads to increased medication and recurrent procedures. He wants to break this cycle and promote a long-term solution. He will share how stress reduction, exercise, and nutritional stress affect our body.

 

Friday, 6-30-17 ~ I was once told that if we can count our true friends on one hand, we are blessed. I had many friends. As I got older, I discovered this saying was true. Many of the people I called friends were really just acquaintances. How do you purposely cultivate healthy, functional friendships? My friend Julie Mickler and I will discuss the “ground rules” for a healthy and lasting friendship.

 

Saturday, 7-1-17 JP Sears has a way of combining spirituality and humor better than anyone I know… He is a spiritual healer who can speak deeply into my soul and, in an instant, make me spit out my beverage from my nose while bending over laughing. I just recently spent 4 days with JP, at a workshop. My admiration for him grew even more! He is as beautiful on the inside and he is on the outside. On this show, we will discuss how important it is to expand our comfort zones.
