Happy Sunday!

In life, we need to be flexible in our circumstances.  Instead of dwelling on what we didn’t get, we can focus on what we will do with what we have!

About a month ago, I submitted my first EVER YouTube video to a Hay House contest.  The three contestants selected will receive 6 months free coaching from Reid Tracy (CEO) and Cheryl Richardson (life coach & top Hay House author & speaker).  The contest winners were to be selected and called by February 16th.

Even though I made it through and the video was created, in my heart I knew I was not at 100%.  I was still needing to dive in head first to answer why staring into the camera was so difficult for me.   I must say, I am so grateful to everyone who helped and cheered me on during this process.

The video was submitted the day before the deadline.  For an entire month, I took any thought about my submitted video out of my head.  Life went on as if there was nothing going on but, on February 15th, I started feeling a lack of “enough-ness” and went about my day.  By February 16th I had surrendered myself…  I knew my name would not be among those selected.  When I learned the names, I became elated for those who were on that list.  I could feel their joy.  It was the same joy I kept myself from feeling while I waited for all the names to be selected.  The waiting was done; I was not selected.

I realize that this process was not about being selected.  This process was about revealing to me that there are places in my heart that still need mending.   So, as they say on the radio, “stay tuned” because I will be writing about my experience and how I have chosen to embrace this journey on my next Florida Today article, March 10, 2016.  (The 2nd Thursday in March!)

I am still excited about all of last week’s shows…  Such great inspirational people who touched my life. I hope you enjoyed them as well.  If you missed listening to any of last week’s shows, they are updated daily… Click Here to listen and let’s continue to Grow Together!

It is a new week and here is what’s happening on

The Lillian McDermott Radio Show!

Monday, 2-22-16 – 8 am to 9 am ~  Last month, our favorite guru and funny man, JP Sears, shared about how the belief “we must be happy all the times,” can create unnecessary pressure. What about negativity, anger, fear and doubt…  How are these emotions keeping us from true joy?  Fortunately, JP will join us once again, to help us recognize how our emotions can control us.

Tuesday, 2-23-16 – 8 am to 9 am ~  World renowned physician and bestselling author, Dr. Michael Greger of NutritionFacts.org will be giving a lecture on this very day at The Cocoa Civic Center.  Most of us do not have access to medical journals. Dr. Greger and his team of researchers study and report on all published nutritional research. They do this so we can become aware that food and lifestyle changes can improve our health and even reverse disease.

Wednesday, 2-24-16 – 8 am to 9 am ~ Does it seem like, as we get older, it becomes more difficult to make new friends?  Why is that?  Is there anything we can do to change this pattern?  It does not matter how old we are, making new friends should be fun.  Our favorite psychotherapist, Dr. David Baker Hargrove, is back to share how we can develop healthy new friendships.

Thursday, 2-25-16 – 8 am to 9 am ~ Our 5-week plant-based, whole food transformation has come to an end but what we learned will remain forever!  My girlfriends and I have each experienced something different. I asked Molly Patrick of Clean Food Dirty Girl, to come back, along with Judy Bressler and Michelle Ruske, to share about our journey.

Friday, 2-26-16 – 8 am to 9 am ~ In 1974, author G. Edward Griffin wrote “A World Without Cancer” where he shares the benefits of apricot seeds as a natural way to heal the body from cancer.  In our last show, we learned that one hour is not enough time.  I asked Mr. Griffin, now age of 85, to return and educate us on the truth about cancer.

It is a busy week and I hope you will set your reminder to meet me on the air…  Let’s all listen & learn together!

So talk to me, listen and we will all learn together…
